Introduction
Climate Scorecard is considering establishing linkages with leading climate non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in each of our countries. Specifically, in each country we are trying to identify at least one NGO that works to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and that have the ability to advocate for change. Our goal is to build a network of NGOs that can collaborate with us, share our messaging and posts, and advocate for the same types of climate policy change.
Therefore in Post 76 we are asking Country Managers to identify and describe the work of a leading non-governmental climate organization in your country. This should be an organization with a focus on reducing greenhouse gases and/or reducing their harmful impact. Ideally, they should be a local or national organization and not the branch of an international NGO.
In Post 76 Country Managers provide descriptions of outstanding climate-focused NGOs in their countries. They provide the short history of the organization, the work that it does, the results it has achieved, and how these results have been measured. Also provided is information about the organization’s leadership and its funding sources.
The Table below provides a listing of the leading climate NGOs in greenhouse gas emitting countries covered by Climate Scorecard. Full descriptive Country Reports of each NGO are provided below.
