Global Spotlight Report #38: NGO Best Climate Practices

Introduction

For Post 38, Climate Scorecard Country Managers in leading greenhouse gas emitting countries compiled a list of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in their counties that are implementing “best climate practices”.

The NGO needed to be locally based, and not the branch of an international organization. We felt that an NGO with local roots and support would stand a good chance of sustaining its intervention. We also wanted to identify best practice projects that are having a documented impact, and that can easily be replicated and scaled up both within and across countries.

Below is a summary of the NGOs that made our list. A description of the best practice projects implemented by these NGOs is provided in the country reports highlighted below.
