The Partnership has just released Version 3.0 of the NDC Navigator—an interactive tool that supports the development of updated country NDCs to be submitted in 2025. The Navigator helps countries raise ambition and accelerate implementation of the next round of NDCs (NDCs 3.0). For more see www.ndcnavigator.org
In Post 79 we asked our Climate Scorecard Country Managers to advise their countries of what needs to be done to strengthen their NDCs using the framework of the NDC Partnership Navigator. Specifically we asked them to provide the person/administrative unit in charge of developing their country’s NDCs with the types of information that the NDC Navigator Guidelines suggests will help them determine the best route to strengthen their NDCs. Specifically provide advice that helps countries navigate one or more of the three NDC strengthening routes below:
- Route #1 How can the country’s NDC become more aligned with the Paris Agreement temperature goal?
- Route #2 How can the country’s NDC become more aligned with the Paris Agreement global goal on adaptation?
- Route #3 How can the country’s NDC help support a just and equitable transition?
This report is in the form of letters from our Country Managers to the person or organization in charge of developing their country’s NDC. The table below provides a list of people/organizations to whom our Country Managers wrote letters of advice. The complete text of each letter is also provided below.
