As part of Climate Scorecard Report #17 we asked our Country Managers to provide a list of organizations in their countries that might help support our 2020 Campaign. Over the next several months we hope to explore whether the organizations listed below, and others, are interested in supporting the Campaign and implementing the recommendations provided by our Country Managers in Report #16.
Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), New Delhi
Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) is a national level public interest research and advocacy organization based in New Delhi. It researches issues of climate change, environment, and science related aspects to further communicate the urgency of development that is both sustainable and equitable. It also believes that the scenario today demands using knowledge to bring about change.
The organization pushes for answers and transforming these into policy and practices. It does this through participatory research and by communicating its understanding to key stakeholders including the private sector, government agencies and UN and its systems.

The Energy Research Institute (TERI)
TERI is an independent, multi-dimensional organization, with capabilities in research, policy, consultancy and implementation. Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI)

Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change
The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) is the nodal agency in the administrative structure of the Central Government for the planning, promotion, coordination and overseeing the implementation of India’s environmental and forestry policies and programs. The primary concerns of the Ministry are implementation of policies and programs relating to conservation of the country’s natural resources including its lakes and rivers, its biodiversity, forests and wildlife, ensuring the welfare of animals, and the prevention and abatement of pollution. While implementing these policies and programs, the Ministry is guided by the principle of sustainable development and enhancement of human well-being.
The broad objectives of the Ministry are conservation and survey of flora, fauna, forests and wildlife, prevention and control of pollution, afforestation and regeneration of degraded areas, protection of the environment and ensuring the welfare of animals

Morning India Group of Publications
English Daily ‘Morning India’ is a flagship brand of the Morning India Group of Publications which was started in the year 2011 and is currently published from Delhi, Patna, Ranchi, and Kolkata. The company is also publishing daily newspapers in other vernacular languages reaching a large mass of people on a daily basis.
Group’s Hindi Daily ‘Sanmarg’ is being published from Patna & Ranchi and Urdu Daily ‘Aawami News’ is being published from Ranchi (2010), Patna & Kolkata (2014). Hindi Daily Sanmarg, founded in 1946, is a well-known vernacular newspaper circulated in the eastern states of India.
