As part of Climate Scorecard Report #17 we asked our Country Managers to provide a list of organizations in their countries that might help support our 2020 Campaign. Over the next several months we hope to explore whether the organizations listed below, and others, are interested in supporting the Campaign and implementing the recommendations provided by our Country Managers in Report #16.
Government Agencies: Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, Presidency of Strategy and Budget and Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Ministry of Environment and Urbanization is responsible for the coordination of all climate policies while Presidency of Strategy and Budget is responsible for compliance of climate policies with economic policies and development plans, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs is responsible for international climate negotiations.

NGO ‘Yeşil Düşünce Derneği’
Their main field of activities are: Ecology and Sustainability, Democracy and Media, Climate Change and Energy, Economy. The most important role of non-governmental organizations are campaigns, trainings, awareness raising activities, and press releases.

TÜSİAD
A Climate Platform has been established in 2009 with the support of TÜSİAD, a volunteer organization of Turkey’s leading entrepreneurs and executives. However, not much progress has been achieved on the subject. Unlike open societies, private sectors being a practitioner of climate policies has a decisive role. Therefore, almost all sectors of trade as a stakeholder are affected by climate change and affect climate policies

Bogazici University
Bogazici University has established a Center for Climate Change and Policy Studies and has been publishing articles, journals and organizing activities. The mission of this center is to provide trainings for public and private sectors which can have a high impact on climate change strategy of these actors.
