  • Netra Naik is a climate change researcher, and environmental planner working at the intersection of climate change adaptation, urban resilience, and climate-related health risks. Her research focuses on the impacts of climate change such as urban heat, flooding, and polar change, at country and city scale, and public health systems, and how these challenges can be addressed through green infrastructure, nature-based solutions, and climate-responsive planning and design.

She is a former International Climate Protection Fellow (Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, 2021 cohort) and co-founder of Climate Beyond Borders, an initiative aimed at making climate change science more accessible and understandable to wider audiences.

Netra contributes to climate change and public health research through the Arctic Basecamp Foundation’s Wellcome Trust-funded project, focusing on links between polar change, global systems, and health outcomes. She also has experience in climate education and science communication through the Prometeruse Project, including teaching climate science to students in Berlin and Poland.

Her work integrates climate science, health, and urban planning to support evidence-based climate action and resilient, people-centered development.
