I am honored to nominate Jesús Morales Bautista, CEO and Co-Founder of Bioforestal Innovación Sustentable (https://www.bioforestal.mx), for the 2024 Climate Mexico Leader Award. Jesús Morales has demonstrated visionary leadership in driving sustainable development and combating climate change in Mexico. With a professional environmental science and sustainable innovation background, he has combined entrepreneurial skills with a deep commitment to ecological preservation.

Under Jesús’ leadership, Bioforestal has developed groundbreaking technologies and initiatives for reforestation, carbon capture, and sustainable forestry. These efforts have significantly reduced carbon emissions and restored vital ecosystems in Mexico. Additionally, Jesús has collaborated with local communities, empowering them to adopt sustainable practices while generating economic opportunities.

Bioforestal is a Nature Based Solutions developer with ample expertise in developing carbon capture projects and restoration.
