Pablo Necoechea is an expert in ESG and sustainability.
He holds a Bachelor and Master in Economic Development from the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP), a Master in Innovation from Deusto Business School, and a Master and Ph.D. Candidate in Economics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He has specialized in energy and sustainability issues, both at the project management and research levels; this has been his focus in his positions as a public official at different government levels, as well as in his work as a senior consultant for major firms and as a researcher for the European Centre for Energy and Resource Security (EUCERS) at King’s College London.
He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Energy Management and Climate Change Index in Mexico (IGECC, for its name in Spanish), which through a detailed methodology analyzes the actions of subnational governments in environmental and energy matters and encourages the development and evaluation of public policies oriented to these issues. Also, He is currently a columnist for El Universal, Expansión, and Forbes and a member of the Standards Advisory Group of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). Furthermore, he also serves as CEO of the consulting firm ESG Academy SC.
