Mary Nthambi, Germany Country Manager, is a PhD student in Environmental and Resource Management (ERM) at the chair of Environmental Economics at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg. She is undertaking a research on the costs of climate change adaptation measures in agriculture among low income communities using the case study of Makueni County, Kenya. She holds a Master of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics, a Bachelor of Science in Range Management from the University of Nairobi, Kenya and a diploma in Business information Technology from Strathmore University, Kenya. She has teaching experience in environmental courses and research experience in environmental and agricultural projects. At the moment she is interested in climate change modeling, especially using choice experiment method and policy analysis.
